Birds chirping and squirrels scampering about the yard usually mark the first day of spring. This morning I woke to the sound of water plopping on the air conditioner outside the window.

I look at the dusty machine and shake my head. It seems like an eternity since I switched it on.

Bring on the pollen, heat, and thunderstorms.  Away with you ice and snow. Go fall on an Antarctic glacier where you are needed.
